The term "spirit quest" alludes to the native north american rite of initiation undertaken by young males as a rite of passage into adulthood. This usually entails an individual connecting with spirit guides to give them a vision to help them find their purpose in life or purpose in a community. In the context of the LightSeers, the spirit quest is the activity where members of the group act as a bridge between the persons who requested the quest and the entities/energies involved in the situation, with the goal of establishing a more acceptable & hopefully mutually beneficial situation.

Spirirt quests are free of charge as the group believes that the abilities that are freely given to us should be utilized for the betterment of society without recompense. Also, being able to share in the experience of the agent and entities through the quest enriches the Seer with life lessons he/she wouldn't have encountered in the normal course of his/her life. This is more valuable than any kind of payment.

1. The group's quest activities are triggered by the need to help others who are experiencing disruptions in their lives because of "supernatural" events. This means that we do not initiate quests by visiting places where we haven't been asked to help. Being psychically open does not give one the right to meddle where one isn't invited. Spirit quests are not "ghost hunting" activities, nor are they trying to prove the existence of non-human entities. 2. LightSeers are not an occult academy. There are other practicioners out there that are more knowledgable in the occult arts and disciplines. Our workshops are not for one to learn how to do reiki or how to become a mage, although we employ exercises drawn from these different belief systems. Our workshops are focused on providing experiences so the individual hopefully has a paradigm shift about psychic abilities, the spiritual realm, society (seen & unseen) and them selves.

No we do not, as we believe in resolving issues through peaceful & creative means as much as possible. This applies to all beings, human and non-human, as universal law and justice applies to all. Also, "banishing" does not resolve the issue; it only transfers the entity with an issue away from the current place/time to another place, and with the core of the issue still unresolved, that entity will only continue "reaching out" or manifesting to another person/family/place. On exorcism, the principle is similar: exorcising without tackling the underlying reason the entity was able to latch unto the subject does not solve the issue, which can lead to recurrence.
